ciMAIL: - now with full stats
The ciMAIL: Email Marketing module has just been upgraded to include full list management and statistics, including bounce, read/unread, and unsubscription rates.
The long-awaited release of
ciMAIL: version 3.0 has happened, and it brings with it a series of maturity improvements that bring it to the "next" level of email marketing applications.
ciMAIL: now includes a
ciLIST: module, responsible for "persistent lists", which can be directly integrated with your website to accept automatic subscriptions (opt-in) by users - and can then track bounces, unsubscriptions (opt-out), and other user-related details to fully comply with the Australian Government's anti-spam legislation ("Spam Act 2003") which - among other things - requires a request to unsubscribe from a mailing list to be honoured (traditionally difficult if you do not have a persistent list of recipients).
The basic ideas behind
ciMAIL: remain the same:
- No per-message charge as the system resides on your own hosted server and is not a "subscription service".
- Easy creation and editing of pages using the ciSUITE: Content Engine.
- High performance (20,000 to 100,000 emails per hour, depending on the server).
- Personalised HTML emails generated automatically.
- Website version of email broadcasts included (re-use email broadcasts as newsletter on your site).
- Import/export of recipient lists.
- Full compliance with Australian Anti-Spam Act Legislation (opt-in/opt-out etc).
Some of the new features of
ciMAIL: 3.0 include:
- Statistics: Tracking, reporting, graphing, export of raw data for all recipient interactions (see if a specific person viewed an email message, story/article, or even clicked on an advertisement).
- Easy-to-understand graphs showing:
- Number of emails sent/received/bounced
- Links in campaign (with number of clicks)
- Times of day accessed
- Days of the week accessed
- Delay before reading
- Email broadcasts are now managed as "Campaigns", each of which can have any number of "Campaign Lists" (recipients) associated which can then be delivered as "Campaign Posts" (the event of sending the information out).
- Export of raw data as Excel spreadsheets
