John Paul College Powers on with ciSUITE:

John Paul College (JPC) on Brisbane's southside is arguably one of the most progressive and technologically-advanced schools in the country. So, what system did JPC choose to run their next generation of portals to connect parents, teachers, and students ? .... why ciSUITE:, of course.

The ciSUITE: Content Engine, along with a series of customised middleware applications developed to connect the system with other databases, form the backbone of the recently-launched John Paul College "JPConnect" system.

The purpose of the system is to connect parents, teachers, and students via a single integrated environment which delivers news and other student-specific information directly to a parent's web browser ... and filters out the many hundreds of items that are irrelevant to the parent.

One of the more unique aspects of the system is its deep integration with the third-party software system that already manages many aspects of student life at JPC. Through custom middleware, this system now communicates freely with ciSUITE: to deliver an accurate student profile at the time a parent logs in. This profile is then used to filter news stories, co-curricular sections, and other information to bring forward the information most relevant to a parent at that time.
